tfd only works with certified producer members of the World Fair Trade Organisation, WFTOtfd founder, Judith Condor-Vidal, is an associate member.  The WFTO network campaigns to change unfair trade rules.

tfdalong with other small businesses and designers founded the Ethical Fashion Forum www.ethicalfashionforum.com  in search of ways to improve the quality and marketability of Fair Trade products.

tfd was set up in 2004, first and foremost to campaign for Fair Trade and Trade Justice. We were involved in the formation of the first Fair Trade Shop in Oxford(Fairtrade@StMichael’s) and are active members of the Oxford Fair Trade Coalition.

Trading for Development shows that ethical business practices and high quality fashion products can coexist in ways that bring development to poor communities.  We do this through enhancing traditional skills of producers, building links with leading fashion houses and universities in Europe and marketing Fair trade products worldwide.
